- ES Monthly Update
- Posted by WatchWood on April 20, AD 2007 @ 5:38 PM
- The folks at ES released another of their monthly updates yesterday. Things are starting to pick up for them, and this month Thunder released a fascinating interview between him and the lead designer, Graeme Devine, which goes into his background, his job as the Lead Designer on the project, his current game interests, and even how much Guinness he can drink.

- Multiplayer Beta
- Posted by WatchWood on April 10, AD 2007 @ 12:09 PM
- Bungie has released the goods on the Multiplayer Beta today. It'll be running from May 16th to June 6th, and will be available to anyone who got in through the Rule of 3 thing.
Valhalla, Snowbound, and High Ground will all be available to play on; as well as new grenades, weapons, and some other goodies that are being kept under wraps until the Beta is actually launched.
And the real purpose of The Mysterious X Button? It's been revealed, and it seems that Bungie has seen fit to include trip mines in Halo 3. Especially useful as a counter to those pesky people who try to run you down in Warthogs and other vehicles, and other forms of sneakyness.
So watch your step, eh?
And thanks to IND Master Chief for pointing this find out to me.
- Poll Results
- Posted by WatchWood on April 6, AD 2007 @ 4:48 PM
- So the latest of the polls being ran has drawn to a close. The question put to the people was which Halo game they were looking forwards to most, from Halo 3, Halo Wars, and Peter Jackson's as-of-yet unnamed Halo game.
Coming in first was Halo 3, with 50 votes. Following it was Halo Wars, which had a solid 30 votes, and in last was Peter Jackson's Halo game, which had a surprising 8 votes. A remarkable showing, given how little we actually know about the game.
And for our next poll? We're kinda curious as to what you guys though of the April fool's going ons in the forums, and would like to get the popular reaction from our humble humour, and the always entertaining Halo Kitty.
- Fan Fiction Results

- After a few technical delays (read: a lot), I finally decided to cheat and just toss up all the fan fiction contest entries as a zip file in their original format, instead of trying to do a proper conversion job. I'm still going to do that at some point, it's just going to take a while.
